WaveLedger Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 15, 2026
WaveLedger is an iPhone and iPad app that production sound mixers use to log takes and export sound reports. This policy explains what information the app handles and where it goes. In this policy, “we,” “us,” and “our” mean EchoLogic, the developer of WaveLedger.
Overview
Your reports, takes, and everything you type into WaveLedger stay on your device. We do not run servers that store your reports, and WaveLedger has no user accounts.
Reports leave your device only when you choose to export, email, or share them.
One outside service, RevenueCat, receives limited technical information so it can manage subscriptions.
We do not sell your information, show ads, or track you across other companies’ apps or websites.
Information and storage
WaveLedger stores the following on your device only:
Reports and takes: production details (such as title, production company, director, producer, episode, job number, location, and roll), scene and take notes, track names, microphones, note tags, and recording settings.
Mixer information: the name, email address, and phone number you choose to put on your reports.
Email recipients: names and email addresses you save so you can send reports quickly.
Report photos: a photo you choose for a report header, saved as a small copy inside the app.
Preferences: templates, PDF and file name settings, and display settings.
We never receive this information. Like most apps, WaveLedger’s data can be included in your device backups (for example, iCloud Backup or a computer backup) if you have backups turned on. Apple handles those backups under its own privacy policy.
Photos
If you add a photo to a report, WaveLedger asks for permission to open your photo library, or lets you choose an image from the Files app. WaveLedger only uses the photo you pick. It does not scan or upload your photo library. You can change photo access at any time in your device’s Settings.
Exporting, emailing, and sharing reports
When you export a report, WaveLedger creates a PDF or CSV file on your device. If you then email it or share it, the file goes wherever you send it: through Apple’s Mail app, AirDrop, the Files app, or any other app you choose in the share sheet. Those apps and recipients handle the file under their own privacy practices. WaveLedger does not keep a copy anywhere outside your device.
Subscriptions and purchases
WaveLedger Pro is sold through Apple’s App Store. Apple processes your payment, and we never see your name, Apple ID, or payment details.
We use RevenueCat to confirm whether you have an active subscription and to let you restore purchases. To do this, the app shares with RevenueCat a random, anonymous identifier created by the app, your App Store purchase and subscription history for WaveLedger, and basic technical details such as your device type, operating system version, app version, country or region, and IP address. RevenueCat does not receive your reports or anything you type into the app.
To limit the free exports to three per device, WaveLedger saves a simple count of your exports in your device’s secure storage (the iOS Keychain). The count is only a number and stays on your device. iOS may keep it even after you delete and reinstall the app.
Information from Apple
If you choose to share analytics or crash reports with app developers in your device’s settings, Apple may provide us with anonymous, combined information about app usage and crashes. You can turn this on or off at any time in your device’s Privacy & Security settings.
What we don’t do
We do not sell or rent your personal information.
We do not show ads or share information with advertisers or data brokers.
We do not track you across other companies’ apps or websites.
We do not access your location, contacts, microphone, or calendar.
Deleting your information
Because your reports are stored on your device, you control them. You can delete individual reports in the app, or remove everything by deleting WaveLedger from your device. To cancel a subscription, tap Manage Subscription in WaveLedger’s Settings, or use your Apple Account’s subscription settings. To ask RevenueCat to delete information connected to your device, contact us and we will help with the request.
Children
WaveLedger is a professional tool and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Your privacy rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal information about you, or to object to how it is used. Because we hold almost no information about you, most requests can be handled directly on your device. For anything else, contact us using the address below and we will respond within a reasonable time.
Changes to this policy
If we change how WaveLedger handles information, we will update this page and change the “Last updated” date above. For significant changes, we will also let you know in the app or in the App Store release notes.
